P6 Commonwealth games

This summer the Commonwealth games are being held in Birmingham in central England.

Up to 72 teams will compete in 19 different sports.

The games will represent the diversity of the Commonwealth with teams from 5 continents.

WHAT IS THE COMMONWEALTH?

The Commonwealth games is different to the Olympics in many ways. The Commonwealth is an important organisation which includes over 54 countries and almost 2 billion people.
